Raw Moringa News: Living Well with Rheumatoid Arthritis

Do you know someone who struggles with rheumatoid arthritis? You probably do. From the young and active to the old and sedentary RA can affect anyone. If you knew of a way to ease the pain and improve someones daily life wouldn’t you want to tell them? Me too!

I have spent most of my life interested in ways to naturally heal my own issues and helping those around me. Nothing makes me feel more connected and useful than helping others feel better. Rheumatoid arthritis, as stated by the Mayo Clinic, is a chronic inflammatory disorder that can affect more than just your joints. In some people, the condition also can damage a wide variety of body systems, including the skin, eyes, lungs, heart and blood vessels.

An autoimmune disorder, rheumatoid arthritis occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks your own body’s tissues.

Unlike the wear-and-tear damage of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis affects the lining of your joints, causing a painful swelling that can eventually result in bone erosion and joint deformity.

The inflammation associated with rheumatoid arthritis is what can damage other parts of the body as well. While new types of medications have improved treatment options dramatically, severe rheumatoid arthritis can still cause physical disabilities.

What can be done?

There are prescription drugs that claim to ease the pain. There are also countless natural remedies and activities that also help to ease RA pain. Most things that we do are an attempt to reduce the inflammation that causes all the side effects

Maybe you or someone you know has already tried some of the following:

  1. Exercise: walking and yoga
  2. Gluten free diet
  3. Increasing fiber
  4. Added nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID)
  5. Fish oil-omega-3 fatty acids
  6. increased probiotic foods
  7. Meditation
  8. Added vitamin D
  9. Added the mineral Selenium
  10. Eating Raw Food diet

Living a healthy and active lifestyle is the best thing anyone can do for all health and wellness issues. Everything on the list above focuses on pain reduction through inflammation reduction and maintaining proper joint health to stave off the negative effects of the disease on the body.

The Research

One of the many research papers that have been published on the topic of Moringa and RA comes from the Journal of Immunotoxicology. See the following excerpt taken from the abstract from the 2007 study

“The present investigation was carried out to study the anti-arthritic activity of ethanolic extract of seeds of Moringa oleifera Lam. (MOEE)

  1. Arthritic index score was decreased significantly as compared to diseased control animals.
  2. Serum levels of RF, TNF-α, IL-1, and IL-6 also showed decreased levels as compared to those in the diseased control group.
  3. Altered oxidative stress in relation to its anti-inflammatory activity.
  4. Histopathological observations showed mild or less infiltration of lymphocytes, angiogenesis and synovial lining thickening.

From all above results and observations, it can be concluded that Moringa oleifera possesses promising antiarthritic property.”

Success Story

John Maxwell said, “I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis since the age of 5, 45 years now. In that time I have haScreen Shot 2016-03-31 at 9.47.38 PMd 4 hips, 4 knees, and 2 shoulders replaced and been hospitalized about 40 times.

Because of that, I endure 24/7 pain, stiffness and range of motion challenges in all my joints from my jaw to my toes. Along with the pain and joint related problems, I also have high levels of fatigue. Fighting pain 24/7 requires a lot of physical energy and so chronic fatigue is a common symptom of people with arthritis.

Chris (Rogers) was very kind, and even persistent, as I said no once or twice when he asked previously. His compassion for people and belief in his product convinced me to let him send me a free 30 day trial to see if it would help me.”

Another story from Detox Diva,  “I have  started giving (Moringa) to clients who were struggling with chronic inflammation as my research showed that moringa leaf contained high levels of anti-inflammatory properties and high antioxidant content.  Every single client, including the ones with autoimmune disorders such as Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, and Polymyositis have come back and reported increases in energy levels and decreases in both pain and inflammation within a few weeks of use.  These clients have already seen dramatic results changing their diet and lifestyle so to have them come back and report even more dramatic positive changes was just icing on the cake.

Moringa Oleifera has many beneficial uses.  Listed below are just a few of the ways the Moringa Oleifera is used around the world.
